Assalaamu Alaykum Students (اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ، يَا أَيُّهَا الطُّلاب)
We had a lovely session on Sunday. Class was well attended, although a few students excused themselves, due to personal commitments or being out of town.
We covered Lesson 4 [اُكْتُبْ: Write!].
The Command Patterns: فَعَلَ - يَفْعَلٌ - اِفْعَلْ (pp. 1-2) and فَعَلَ - يَفْعُلُ - اُفْعُلْ (pp. 8-9) were explained and drilled.
Students could soon form the Past Tense and Present Tense of all verbs covered in Lesson One and Four.
We also did an exercise (test?) in class based on pp. 1 - 4 of the notes (see below: http://rihla-tu-tulab.blogspot.co.za/2017/02/speak-arabic-today-notes.html) .
One new student joined the class and said he had no problem following the lesson, in fact he said: "I enjoyed it very much!" - He even managed to complete the exercise!
For those who missed class:
Please revise Lessons One to Four pp. 1 - 9.
HOMEWORK: Study 4.5;
Do exercise: 4.6
ADDITIONAL VOCABULARY:
Here are some of the words and phrases you'll hear me use in class:
